University of Michigan Museum of Art

Located in Alumni Memorial Hall on State Street across from the Michigan Union, this art museum houses the University's collections of African, American, Asian, European, and Middle Eastern art, plus modern drawings and paintings and photography.
Image of much of the collection are online at the web site, http://www.umma.umich.edu .
The museum is undertaking an expansion and is closed for that construction. A new temporary space at 1301 South University houses UMMA Off/Site.
