The Michigan Daily a newspaper that publishes Monday through Friday. Although the paper is thought of as The University of Michigan's student newspaper, it has no ties to the University as it funds itself. This is why the paper's masthead bears the line, "115 years of editorial freedom." The staff is composed of University students.
