Mill Creek
From ArborWiki
Mill Creek feeds into the Huron River in Dexter, at the Mill Pond Dam. Mill Creek is the largest creekshed feeding the Huron River, including 145 square miles of western Washtenaw County. The creekshed includes Dexter, Chelsea, all of Sylvan and Lima Townships, and parts of several other Townships, drawing water from land uses ranging from the Chrysler Proving Grounds to farmland to the Waterloo State Recreation Area.
The Huron River Watershed Council's management plan for Mill Creek identifies the creekshed as the source of much of the phosphorus overload in the River, and the Mill Pond Dam has been identified for possible removal to address sedimentation and fish migration issues.
