Martin Contreras and Keith Orr
From ArborWiki
Partners in both life and business, Martin and Keith own both the Aut Bar and Common Language Books.
Keith Orr was the first person to use Fred Phelps' screaming homophobic pickets as a fundraiser for gay rights -- for each minute that the pickets stayed outside the Aut Bar, people pledged money toward WRAP. The fundraiser was very successful, and groups in other communities have copied it when they have been unfortunate enough to have Phelps' crazed brood descend upon them.
In late 2008, Keith Orr was nominated by mayor of Ann Arbor, John Hieftje, to serve on the Downtown Development Authority board, and was subsequently confirmed by city council. On the DDA board, Orr replaced Dave DeVarti, who had served on the board since being appointed by then-mayor Liz Brater, and had indicated an interest and willingness to continue service.
