Free downtown parking
From ArborWiki
It is possible to park free downtown at certain times of the day, week, and year. Here are some tips.
Contents |
[edit] Free parking structures
- The DDA is sponsoring free parking at the Ashley Street structure Fridays after 9pm and all day Saturday.
- All DDA lots and structures are free on Sundays.
[edit] Banks
- University of Michigan Credit Union lot is free after hours, after 6pm weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday.
- Comerica & Bank of Ann Arbor lots on Washington Street are also free after hours.
[edit] Government offices
- Some Washtenaw County lots are free after hours and on weekends. These include the lot across from the People's Food Co-op and next to the County Courthouse.
[edit] Metered city lots
- All downtown parking meters are free after 6pm. This includes both on-street meters and meters in parking lots, including
- The lot next to Palio, which, on nice summer evenings, sees cars idling in wait for a space, even while the Fourth & Washington Parking Structure has space available.
- The Farmer's Market lot, which tends to be fairly empty by 6pm.
[edit] University lots
- The Krause Street lot is free after hours and on weekends; it's close to the YMCA.
[edit] Park and ride
- Pioneer High School park and ride lets you take the AATA bus 14 to downtown every (how many?) minutes during the day, a (how long?) trip.
