• James Mann's "Historically Speaking" column, published Sundays in the Ann Arbor News' Ypsilanti Community News edition and website. Mann, Ypsilanti's public-historian-at-large, covers some person, place, event, or theme in Ypsi history each week, and has published multiple books.
• Charles Chapman & Co.'s 1881 History of Washtenaw County, Michigan : together with sketches of its cities, villages and townships...and biographies of representative citizens. A 1500-page tome of Washtenaw County's first half-century or so.
