- Sometimes I find a restaurant gem in the most simple - even dingy - settings. There is absolutely nothing to distinguish Big Sky Diner except for a neon sign outside the restaurant. It's located on the outskirts of downtown Ypsilanti, among rows of dilapidated buildings. Inside, the first thing you notice is the smoky smell.
