A city in Michigan. Population: around 114,000. Mayor: John Hieftje. Founded in 1824 by John Allen and Elisha Rumsey, who named it Annarbour (original spelling) after their wives, who were both named Ann, and because of the large volume of trees in the area.

A saying of unknown origin has it that Ann Arbor is "24.6 square miles, surrounded by reality."
