Materials Recovery Facility

Located at the corner of Platt Road and Ellsworth, the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) is a dropoff point for recyclables and a pickup point for city compost. It's near the Solid Waste Dropoff center (don't let the waste part confuse you -- they take recyclables, too). Compost is available in bulk by weight.
City facility, wood chips available.
Hours: 9 am - 5 pm, Monday-Saturday.
Free tours and open houses monthly on Saturday morning, or weekdays by appointment for groups of 15-45: [1]
