Lans Basin is part of the Malletts Creek creekshed. It starts at S. Seventh St. in the Lansdowne neighborhood and continues running parallel with Delaware and Morehead Drives until it reaches Ann Arbor-Saline Road where it goes under the road.

Lans Basin consists of 3 ponds separated by weirs, the first of which has a foot bridge joining Delaware and Morehead. The bridge became an issue during the Summer of 2008 when the City inspected and subsequently closed the bridge, deeming it unsafe. It remains closed while the City and residents continue to discuss options for its eventual reopening.

We are the members of Lans Basin Incorporated. LBI is comprised of the homeowners living on the 3 ponds of Malletts Creek that run through the Lansdowne neighborhood in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
