The City of Ann Arbor provides stormwater tax credits if you make a nice garden. Include a mix of local wildflowers!

You can get local wildflowers from the Native Plant Nursery, appearing at the Farmer's Market.

Michigan law protects wildflowers growing on public lands, including road right-of-ways. Don't pick them there; let them be so others can enjoy them, and the plants can reproduce and make more flowers next year.
