This message is coming to you in case you're looking for a local, organic turkey for Thanksgiving. There is a farmer nearby who does a really amazing job of raising turkeys. His Heritage turkeys are already spoken for, but he also has "regular" broad-breasted turkeys. Apparently, he puts them out to forage every day and then has to go find them and bring them back into the barn at night so they don't get eaten by critters.
They will be ready on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and they cost $3.25/lb. He says they cook 1/3 faster than regular turkeys.

- So far, Harnois has grown his farm slowly. When a friend told him to spend more time marketing and let someone else raise the birds, Harnois dismissed the idea. "Marketing is the worst thing I do," he says, "I just want to grow stuff."
