Especially notable is their full-service Birkenstock repair department where master repairman Paul Tinkerhess and his staff do whatever it takes to bring your Birkenstocks back to life, from resoling and cork patching to complete remanufacturing with original German parts, to lifts and other custom modifications. In the rare event that your Birks are beyond repair, Fourth Ave Birkenstock even offers a "cash for clunkers" credit toward a new pair!
Other brands sold include Finn Comfort, Papillio, Birki, Footprints, Bogs, El Naturalista, Haflinger, Sanita (original makers of Dansko clogs), Blundstone, Vibram Five Fingers, Smartwool and Goodhue Socks, Yamax Digiwalker pedometers, Dynaflex Powerball wrist exercisers, Tinkerhess kite reels, and even Tempur-Pedic mattresses and pillows in Paul & Claire's "Sleep Shop" next door. Look for the Barbie doll with her little cork sandals by the counter. (Paul says she now prefers to be called "Barbara".)
