Annhua Chinese School

Ann-Hua Chinese School is a non-profit, parents-sponsored, voluntary association whose missions are:
- to teach Chinese language (mandarin),
- to promote the understanding of the Chinese culture, and
- to provide a network of support among individuals sharing the common interest in Chinese ethnic and cultural heritage.
Ann-Hua Chinese School teaches Pin-Yin phonetics and simplified Chinese characters. All classes are conducted in Chinese. Students are grouped into 1st to 10th grades according to age and level of Chinese fluency. The age ranges of students in these classes are from 5 to 17. Students aged 5 to 6 years old attend a kindergarten class where they receive some preliminary form of linguistic education. In addition, there are cultural classes for drawing, dancing, and fun math. School hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm, every Sunday. Class schedules will be posted on this site prior to the start of every school year, which is around the same time the Ann Arbor School District starts their school year.
