The Senior Center is located at 1015 North Congress Street in Ypsilanti. It's just west of the Rutherford City Pool in Recreation Park. Just east of the Senior Center is a lovely rose garden with a circular path and many varieties of roses and other perennials, including plantings in memory of deceased members of the Senior Center. It is maintained by neighbors in the Normal Park area. Daily meals at low cost are available at the Center, as well as recreational activities, such as quilting on Saturdays, yoga, and massage. The current director is Monica Prince.
Also just south of the building is Recreation Park Community Garden.
Just $40/hr to rent the Center, which includes a full kitchen and capacity for more than 100 people, for graduation parties, receptions, birthdays, family reunions and more. Call 483-5014
