WAAM is an AM radio station, 1600 on your dial, with a studio on Packard Road.

History

Ted Heusel was there for many years.

Lucy Ann Lance had a popular morning show, but it was cancelled.

The station went on the air as WHRV in October, 1948. Ollie McLaughlin was a DJ. Before 1946, the AM radio band only went up to 1560, and so only listeners with new radios could tune in broadcasts.
