I'm working on getting the templates (and hopefully more) back. But I want to do it right this time, which means I get to wait for someone to help me out with MediaWiki's extension hooks. -MattH 21:44, 31 October 2007 (GMT)

  • Still no good answer on this. Have to hang out in #aboutus to ask the Wiki gurus.
  • Thanks for all your contributions recently. I've added you to the sysops list on ArborWiki -- you should be able to do moves / deletes without having to wait. Took long enough for me to do that! -MattH

Categorizing standards...

I just went through Special:Categories and eliminated 23 single-member categories by reassigning; a few of these were misspellings, but most were differences in capitalization of second words. Now, I did this the lazy way, by going with the majority casing on each category - "User groups" went to "User Groups", while "Berry Picking" went to "Berry picking". We should probably encourage a standard (my preference would be all upper-casing). And, ps, Special pages don't have talk pages? --Murph 16:25, 7 October 2007 (BST)

wow, that's awesome... cool way to kill some time beneath a super-heated October sky. Those category pages are common search landing pages for the wiki, nice to have them stemmed and trimmed. --BrianKerr

industrial history

I'm totally interested in some kind of organized effort to dig into local industrial history - we might want to import some wikipedian categories that put things into decades (formalizing bkerr's party-like-it's-186x structure). thanks Ed 68.84.161.65 13:32, 17 November 2007 (GMT)

Good to see you around! -MattH
