Saline Union School is a 1930 Art Deco building that is owned by Quantum Signal.

In spite of the beginnings of the depression, Saline continued to upgrade herself. The Old Union School was torn down in 1930 and a new Art Deco building was constructed on the same site and used the same name.

The Saline City Council has approved commercial zoning status for the Union School building, which Quantum Signal LLC is buying from Saline Area Schools.

Rohde said Saline would be the ideal place for his company to expand, citing its downtown location and proximity to businesses. Union School was built in 1868, according to the Saline Area Historical Society’s website. It was torn down and rebuilt in 1930.
