I'm pretty sure that "tripper's alley" is what the kids these days call "poet's alley", which is what the kids in my day called the alley just west of the Michigan Theater (the alley that some of the Mich's exits lead out through). I remember it being a pretty neat place full of spontaneous poetry and other artwork ("graffiti") that was in constant flux, until someone (the city? the theater?) decided they didn't care for it, and hired somebody to paint over it with formal murals. Can anybody verify that we're talking about the same place? --Murph 12:01, 8 December 2007 (GMT)
