Thomson-Shore was a Dexter based book printer. It was founded in 1972 by partners Ned Thomson and Harry Shore. The company plant was at 7300 W Joy Road.

Cofounder Harry Shore died in 2003.

In 2010, the company acquired the Bessenberg Bindery of Ann Arbor.

In 2014, the company acquired Seattle based PublishNext and its subsidiary the Seattle Book Company.

In 2019, the company's assets were purchased in bankruptcy by CJK Group of Brainerd, MN.

Thomson-Shore recently acquired The Bessenberg Bindery, a specialty hand bindery out of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Through the new partnership with Jon Buller, founder of Bessenberg, Thomson-Shore will begin offering Books as Art™ capabilities integrated with its already robust offset and digital printing and binding platform.

The Dexter-based publishing company Thomson-Shore has acquired Seattle-based PublishNext and its subsidiary company Seattle Book Company. The move allows Thomson-Shore the opportunity to provide an all-inclusive platform, including publishing, production and distribution services.
