Obituary

Of Ann Arbor, Michigan died suddenly and unexpectedly while on a business trip in Houston; he was 56. Steve has been the president of King Engineering Co. since 1991. Since 1976 he has held many positions at King including technical and marketing services, sales manager and vice president. Steve graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1976 with a business degree, taking several more professional educational courses since his graduation. Steve has been an active member and served in the Dairy Foods Industry Suppliers Assoc., International Assoc. of Food Industry Suppliers, and recently with Food Processing Suppliers Assoc. He was an associate member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers; Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers and the Greater Ann Arbor Society of Human Rights. He was also active in Washtenaw County United Way. He is survived by his wife Amalia "Mayi"; sons, Austin and Santiago; his father, Harvard S. Lefevre; sisters, Linda (Charlie) Ash and Terese (Richard) Hirata. Many nieces and nephews and close friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary. Visitation will be at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel of Ann Arbor on Wednesday, February 23 from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 24 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with visitation there from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
