Save the Ann Arbor Library is a campaign committee formed by Doug Jewett, self-proclaimed "library aficionado and Public Nuisance", in September 2012 to oppose the Ann Arbor District Library's bond measure on the November 2012 ballot. The bond proceeds would be used to demolish the downtown library building and construct a new one; Jewett's objections include some statements about cost, but his predominant positions appear to be architectural and spiritual, opposing the demolition of the existing David Osler- and Alden B. Dow-designed building more than opposing the tax itself.
