Huron River Drive, 2008 & 2009

Major work on Huron River Drive between N. Main Street and Bird Road is planned for 2008 and 2009. Construction is planned in two phases: the first will be May 2008 to early-September 2008 and will go from N. Main to about halfway to Bird Road, and the second will be late-May 2009 to September 2009 and will cover the remaining stretch between the 2008 construction and Bird Road. A final layer of asphalt will be added to the entire length after the second phase is complete.

During the construction, Huron River Drive (HRD) from Main Street to Bird Road will be closed to traffic. The detour route for eastbound HRD traffic will be Maple-Dexter-Huron-Main. The detour route for westbound HRD traffic will be Main-Miller-Maple. The road will be open during the off-season (October - May).
