Ralph Lange is the Ypsilanti City Manager.  He took the post at the end of July 2012, replacing Ed Koryzno.  Lange's previous position was as Executive Director of the Henry County (Ohio) Community Improvement Corporation, an economic development agency southwest of Toledo. He previously served as Managing Director of the Monroe County Road Commission for a decade, and has prior college town city management experience in Albion, Michigan.

July 8, 2016. Ypsilanti approves resignation of City Manager Ralph Lange, Ann Arbor News. "City Clerk Frances McMullan will serve as acting city manager until a permanent replacement is found. At its July 19 meeting, the council will vote on whether to enlist the services of the Michigan Municipal League to assist in the search. That process could take 120 days."
