Phyllis Ocker Field, unveiled to the University and Ann Arbor communities in September 1995, is recognized as one of the nation's finest collegiate field hockey turfs and is a big home game advantage for the Wolverines. In the spring of 2003, Ocker Field received a new playing surface, replacing the original turf with SRI Sports' AstroTurf 1200.
