This was more than a cheesy steak chain, although it certainly WAS that. During the height of the disco explosion of the early 80's, Mountain Jacks was THE place to go in Ann Arbor to dance to live funk bands and to get hopped up on coke. But hey, who knew?

Outstanding (and fast) bartenders: Jim, Gary, Rob, Malcolm, Tim (me) etc. and a true meat market in every sense. The "Hospitality" nights- where you got drink specials if you worked at another restaurant- were legendary nights of debauchery.

I have visited bars all over the US and the rest of the world and I am yet to see a single bartender that could've kept up with the pace we set at that bar.
