McKinley Inc. sold the site at 202 S. Division St. in Ann Arbor to Illinois-based hotel developer and operator First Hospitality Group Inc. in a deal that closed Monday.

But I'm getting tired of looking at all the vacant parking lots, having grown up here. Where Metro 202 is going, that's been a vacant parking lot since I lived downtown when I was three years old!

McKinley's plans to revitalize the downtown area around its McKinley Towne Centre hit a setback Tuesday night when the Ann Arbor City Council rejected plans for a new downtown hotel on Division Street.
