The Mcard is the super-id of the University of Michigan system. It controls:
- Your identity
- Facility access
- Dining and meal plans
- Banking, as an ATM card, through TCF Bank
- Laundry
It also gives you free things -- it's a bus pass! There's a list of discounts on the Mcard site.
New Mcards contain RFID chips and many campus doors may only be opened by Cards containing said chips.
