Named for NASA astronauts James McDivitt and Edward H. White, both 1959 U-M engineering grads, this plaza is at South University at East University near the Engineering Arch.

A historical marker was erected on this spot on June 15, 1965, eight days after the pair's four day orbital flight aboard the spacecraft Gemini 4.
