The list of mayoral representatives since 1948 comprises a veritable who's-who of recent Saline history as would be expected. Several mayors can be recognized by newer residents if only by the streets named after them. The longest serving of the group is Donald E. Shelton who served four terms from 1979 to 1986. Shelton currently is a Washtenaw County Circuit Court Judge. Henry Leutheuser served six years, from 1953 to 1959. Patrick J. Little served three terms, from 1991 to 1996.
