On March 15, 2012, a strong EF-2 (or a weak EF-3) tornado hit Dexter, Michigan. Sirens went off at 5:09 p.m, and the tornado touched down at about 5:33 p.m. No one was killed or injured in the storm.

According to neighbors, the funnel touched down on hole nine and stayed a while," said Jerry Cyr, park operations manager for Hudson Mills Metropark." (Michigan Radio)
