Lucy Ann Lance (Lucy Ann Visovatti) is an Ann Arbor radio personality and retired assistant manager of Ann Arbor’s Community Television Network, where she worked for three decades.

A lifelong resident of Ann Arbor, she graduated from Huron High School. and the University of Michigan. Her background includes more than 25 years of radio experience as morning show host, news anchor, and assistant news director. She previously filed network reports for NBC and Mutual Radio News, and was the host of PAX TV’s "Michigan Forum.: Her mentors include the late Ted Heusel, who pioneered the radio talk format, and the late “Fat” Bob Taylor, who was one of her former co-hosts.

She is known for her work for local charities as a volunteer emcee. She is the recipient of the former Ann Arbor Business Review’s "Most Influential Women" Award, and was the first recipient of the Miss America Women of Achievement Award from the Miss Washtenaw Scholarship Program. She also received the Spectrum Spirit Award, the Torchbearer Award from the Huron Valley Girl Scouts, and the Ambassador Award from the Ann Arbor Convention & Visitors Bureau.  In 2010, she received the Michigan Small Business Journalist of the Year Award from the Small Business Administration.

Timeline

  • 2011: Retires as assistant manager of Ann Arbor’s Community Television Network, where she had worked for thirty years, including a 2-year internship while in college. 
  • 2010: Receives the Michigan Small Business Journalist of the Year Award from the Small Business Administration.
  • January 2009: Launches "The Lucy Ann Lance Show" on WLBY, after a year-long hiatus off the air.
  • 2008: Is laid off from WAAM as part of the radio station owner's downsizing, after working there for nearly 25 years. 
  • 2008-2013: Co-hosts the Michigan Football Tailgate Party – along with sports broadcaster Doug Karsch and Dean Erskine – on the syndicated Michigan Football Network for IMG and the University of Michigan.
  • 2001: Is inducted into the Huron High School River Rat Hall of Fame.
  • 1983: Earns a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in communications, journalism, radio & TV production.
  • 1979: Graduates from Huron High School.
