A Musical Talented Treat !
I'm new here on the scene at Arborwiki , But not new to the unheard , unseen , underrated talented that our city and local neighborhoods hold .
Mingling one night , at a club , called , " The Jazz Club" , Located on Telegraph , and 6 Mile , I stumbled upon a beauty to the eyes , and a comfort to my ears . I found myself in the record release party of a Ms LaWanda Lee . Boy oh Boy does the young lady have delivery and skill ! When I first came to the front door , I heard a Smashing R&B Groove coming from and excellent band (This band definitely blends well) with a powerful female vocal , rocking Chaka Khan " Stay ". I was surprised to hear such a powerful sound coming from a petite woman .

Sultry , Smooth and Melodic .... Spells Music To My Ears !
The first half of her show was all cover music of artists who inspired her as an artist , which is something she mentioned while capturing the audience , with her charm and beautiful tantalizing vocals . These artists include Chaka , Erykah Badu , Tamia , and Alicia Meyers ! She gave her own flavor and delivered exceptionally well if I might say so myself . She then finished off the night with her own original music , in which she writes herself . Although I wasn't familiar with her music , I found myself singing along . The words were captivating , catchy and close to home . I appreciate that so much in an artist .When the show was over, the show wasn't over ! LaWanda Lee had special guests Maurissa Rosa , and Kjon attend this event . Both Highly recognized local and now national celebrities.

After leaving her event , I got to thinking .... who is this young woman whom I haven't heard of yet , with celebrities such as this at her record release party ? Why Haven't I been hearing the buzz about LaWanda Lee ?

LaWanda Lee is the daughter of Ypsilanti's own Lee Osler . Need I refresh your memory ?
