Judy McGovern is a journalist who worked in New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio before settling in Ann Arbor in 1997.

Currently adviser to student journalists at Washtenaw Community College, she was formerly an editor and writer for The Ann Arbor News. After the News closed in 2009, she wrote and edited for publications including the Ann Arbor Observer, The Detroit News, Crain’s Detroit Business and the former Ann Arbor Chronicle.
