For many years, after reading Peter Jenkins "Walk across America" I have wanted to take a long distance walk. Since I have some time now, I have decided to walk from the shores of Lake Huron to the shores of Lake Michigan. I started to plan this walk in late 2008 as I looked ahead to the next venture in my life. Having owned and operated Hickory Woods Golf Course from 1980 till the sale in 2007 and my short stint as the Director of Communications at the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office from 2003 until 2008, I now have some time to do something I've always wanted to do.
