The Huron Parkway – Nixon Road Improvement Project includes the reconstruction of Nixon Road from Plymouth Road to Aurora Street, and partial reconstruction of Huron Parkway from Plymouth Road to a point just east of Nixon Road.

The project home page has notes on project financing:

The funding for this project is a combination of city funds and federal funds. Federal funds come from two programs. One is the Surface Transportation Fund (STPU), and it covers the majority of the roadwork. Federal funds cover 80 percent of the construction costs and the city covers the remaining 20 percent. The second funding source is in the form of a Congestion Mitigation/Air Quality (CMAQ) grant. The CMAQ funds are highly competitive and are awarded only to the projects that significantly reduce congestion, and improve air quality. The roundabout portion of this project is 100 percent funded with CMAQ funds. All other costs including the design and construction engineering and material testing, and the required local matching fund for the construction will be paid from the City of Ann Arbor Street Resurfacing Fund and the Storm Sewer Fund.
