The Hockettes are a synchronized skating team.

Founded in 1956, the Hockettes are the original synchronized skating team ... The team began by performing simple group numbers at University of Michigan hockey games and the annual Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club Ice Show ... Over the years that followed, the team put in guest appearances in the World Champions' Tours, the Lake Placid International Festival, and even in the center ring (on ice) of the Shrine Circus ... As if all that glamour wasn't enough, the team skated in U.S. Figure Skating's 50th anniversary show "Champions on Ice" ... The team has been in existence for 49 years and has competed at the national level since the first U.S. Synchronized Team Skating Championships in 1984.
