While staying at The Eighth Street Trekkers Lodge you may decide to join Heather in the spring or in the fall for a two or three week customized adventure exploring the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. The trip includes a 5-15 day trek toward Mt. Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar at 18,300 Feet! Heather's company also sells unique imports from Nepal in the Himalayan Bazaar in her Garage, similar to one of many shops in Kathmandu. You'll find a variety of Himalayan gifts, Buddhist wall hangings, clothes, silk saris, pashmina shawls, Tibetan artifacts, recycled household items and more for sale in the Bazaar. Of Global Interest LLC also presents cultural talks about trekking in Nepal and life in the Himalayas for schools and other groups. Heather enjoys telling stories about her travels from her book, Writes of Passage through Nepal. You may also watch her documentary movie, Altitude, the story of the first cancer survivor to climb Mt. Everest. The Eighth Street Trekkers' Lodge is also The Everything's Art Gallery. The walls are decorated with many of Heather's paintings. Explore the house with a glass of wine. Have fun!
