In the news

Stanger was chief photographer for The News for 40 years, from 1934-1974. He saw every game at Michigan stadium from 1927 to 1973. He was known as "one-shot Stanger" for his ability to get the shot he wanted on the first try. His photos form a huge segment of Ann Arbor's 20th century history, and you can still see Stanger's shots of football All American Tom Harmon around town.
