Deon Jackson (born January 26, 1946; died April 18, 2014) was the author of the 1966 soul hit Love Makes the World Go Round and a graduate of Ann Arbor High School, along with contemporaries Bob Seger and Jim Osterberg -- the future Iggy Pop.

Jackson, 62, has been rediscovered as student supervisor at Wheaton Warrenville South High School in west suburban Wheaton. Word of his whereabouts got out after a music fan called JEBauder1948 posted a heartfelt slide-show tribute to "Love Makes the World Go Round" on YouTube.
