Pittsfield Township police say a man selling drugs out of a hotel room at the Days Inn was robbed and struck in the head with a pistol early today. A woman in the room also was hit in the head with the pistol, and both suffered scalp and facial cuts, according to a press release.

I have never been as compelled to post a review as I am after this stay. Granted, I was thrilled to find three rooms on a few week's notice, during a home football game weekend, as well as Parent's Weekend at the University of Michigan. And I had read the mixed, though mostly bad, reviews. But I was not equipped to handle the stench of cigarette smoke as we entered our non-smoking room. (11/2009)
