Claudius Britton, Sr. (September 15, 1761 - February 22, 1850) sold the land that is now County Farm Park to Washtenaw County in 1836.
He married Sarah Beeman in Washtenaw County in 1832.
He was living in Pinckney in 1835.
He was living in Putnam Township, Livingston County, in 1844.
He is buried in Pinckney Cemetery.

Not all of the references to Claudius Britton refer to sr. or jr. and hence it is necessary to distinguish between the father and son by means of context.
