Cinema Guild was a student organization on the University of Michigan campus whose mission was to promote film culture to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests of the university. Established in 1950, Cinema Guild was the second oldest US college campus film society still in operation. In the early 1960s, Cinema Guild members helped to co-found and operate the Ann Arbor 16mm Film Festival. Former Cinema Guild members include film director Lawrence Kasdan, screenwriter Alan Jay Glueckman, and film critic Neal Gabler.
