Carleton W. Angell (1887-1962) was a sculptor know best for his designs for the life-sized pumas for the Museum of Natural History at the Biological Sciences Building on the University of Michigan campus. Angell worked for the University as the Museums Artist for some 30 years.

In addition to his works on campus, Angell designed the relief sculptures on the Washtenaw County Courthouse, installed in 1954, and the Four Chaplains memorial at Arborcrest Memorial Park.
