Bridgewater is a settlement in Bridgewater Township.
It is 17 miles west of Ypsilanti along the old Detroit, Hillsdale and Indiana Railroad (later the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad, now an abandoned grade; and about 6.5 miles to the west of Saline along Austin Road.
