Coffee, sandwiches, and free wifi in downtown Ypsi next to the Ypsilanti District Library. Bombadill's opened in 2004, and has become an anchor of Michigan Avenue. The cafe has installations by local artists and occasional acoustic music, and serves as a meeting place for neighborhood associations and other Ypsi groups.
Bombadill's is additionally an excellent cafe for those who are particular about their food - the coffee is organic and fair trade, and most of the pastries and sandwich ingredients come from local businesses, such as Terry Bakery, the Ypsilanti Food Co-op, and the River Street Bakery
Peter Rinehart, the owner of Bombadill's, sits on the Ypsilanti DDA Board and chairs the Central Business Community.
