Revision 6 (Nov. 23, 2005, 11:16 a.m. by None)

A suggestion from a very biased biker: Please walk your bike (or stay in the street) in populous areas. That includes Liberty, Main, The Diag, and South University. It's just common courtesy. MattH 12:41, 21 Nov 2005 (PST)

Agreed. If you, on your bike, find yourself being annoyed that pedestrians are in your way, it probably means you shouldn't be trying to ride your bike right there. Bike on the street and obey traffic laws - doing otherwise just makes the responsible cyclists look bad.

Even if there's no one on the sidewalk, biking on the sidewalk can be hazardous, as people may come suddenly out of doorways. I have had more than one near miss with a bike when stepping out onto the sidewalk. Bikes should be ridden in the street or walked on the sidewalk.

Also: Bike lights. Use them. Front and rear. A set costs what, $25.00?
