Beal Properties, LLC  is a notorious property management company with a well-known reputation for neglecting their properties, intimidating tenants who speak out against them, and doing anything and everything they can to not spend any money whatsoever. They have a long history of boosting their reviews on Google with reviews that they make with fake profiles and not returning security deposits, and overcharging for damages once a tenant has moved out. 
The company was formed in 2002 by Stewart Beal, Fred J. Beal, and Nora Wright.  The first property the company purchased was 15 N. Hamilton, Ypsilanti a 5 unit investment property directly across the street from the Eastern Michigan University's business school.  Since 2002 Beal Properties has acquired an additional 45 properties located in Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Toledo.  The company currently manages 500 apartments and single family homes in Southeastern Michigan and Toledo, OH. Stewart Beal is the only founding member who still sits at the helm of the company and has become a pariah, primarily in the Ypsilanti and Toledo areas. His personal attacks against tenants and his refusal to make rental properties even halfway decent for the people who live in them have earned him the well-deserved title of "Slumlord."
