The Ann Arbor Inn was located at the corner of Fourth and Huron Streets. It had 189 rooms and 6500 sq ft of meeting space. It closed in 1990.
A 1975 fire damaged the seventh floor.
The building is now the Courthouse Square apartments.
The Ann Arbor Inn was a great place during the 70s. It had a roof-top restaurant & outdoor pool (where pilots & flight attendants hung out on their layovers), Big Boy's Restaurant on the ground floor along with a hair salon (Snips where I worked), a bar/lounge & a hotel trinket shop. Convenient multi-level parking attached. Great location in the heart of A2.
